Parenting & Family Counseling
Parenting is one of life's most transformative journeys, full of joy, growth, and challenges. The years of raising a child — through infancy, childhood, and the teen years — can bring emotional, social, and developmental complexities that feel overwhelming to navigate alone. Therapy provides a safe, supportive space for parents to process these challenges, build resilience, and find healthier ways of coping — for themselves and their family.
Parenting
Becoming a parent is transformative, full of joy, growth, and challenges. Balancing work, relationships, and self-care can feel overwhelming, and the arrival of a child—through birth, adoption, or fostering—reshapes your life profoundly. Parenthood can also bring grief, such as miscarriage, stillbirth, or other loss.
I provide a safe, supportive space for parents to process these experiences, reflect on their journey, and cultivate healing. Walking and Talking therapy is available, allowing you to bring your child in a stroller or carrier while engaging in meaningful discussions outdoors.
Supporting Your Teen
Parenting a teenager brings its own unique challenges — shifting independence, identity, peer relationships, and the ordinary turbulence of growing up. Therapy offers parents a space to better understand what their teen may be experiencing, strengthen communication at home, and feel more confident navigating this stage together.
Families
Families are intricate systems where each member contributes unique thoughts and emotions. Counseling offers a supportive environment to explore challenges, improve communication, and foster empathy.
I work with families facing:
Addiction
Divorce or separation
Neurodevelopmental disabilities
Loss and illness
Through therapy, families can develop healthier coping strategies, resolve conflicts, and strengthen connections. My experience includes work in therapeutic preschools and local school districts.
✨ With compassionate guidance and evidence-based strategies, children and adolescents can learn to navigate challenges, build confidence, and thrive.
